A real beauty of a sparkling Shiraz, a very Aussie type of wine from South Australia.
Sparkling reds are something of an Australian tradition and Majella have certainly played their part in that over the years with this delicious wine.
Grown in famous Coonawarra the base wine is matured in used French oak hogsheads for five months before being bottled for secondary fermentation in the ‘methode traditionelle’.
It’s full of attractive fresh plum, raspberry and blackberry aromas and flavours with a hint of spice. Smooth, balanced and luscious on the palate it has nicely gentle tannins and a long and generous finish.
With lots of fine bubbles, a fresh acidity and rich flavour it’s a great wine for any occasion and most styles of food.
